The extension recognises a job posting, fills the application from your profile and the package you already built, and attaches the tailored resume and cover letter. It skips passwords, SSNs and financial fields entirely, leaves anything you already typed alone, and stops at the Submit button — every single time.
Install it

Connect your account
Open the connect page while signed in. Your browser hands the extension its own device token; it is stored inside the extension and never passes through the page.
Open a posting
On a job page the Second Reader badge appears and the extension checks whether you already have a package for it. Click Prefill and the form fills from your profile and that package — resume and cover letter attached.
Read it, then submit
A review panel lists everything that was filled, everything skipped, and everything it could not map. You click the site's Submit button. We never do.
Loading it unpacked (developers)
- Get the folder: build it from the repo, or ask us for second-reader-extension.zip and unzip it.
- Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions).
- Turn on Developer mode.
- Click Load unpacked and pick the folder.
Building from the repo instead? npm --prefix apps/extension run build writes the same folder to apps/extension/dist.

The listed build is the same code as the repo, reviewed by Google, and it updates itself. Install it from the store unless you are developing the extension; an unpacked copy never updates on its own.
Add to ChromeWhat it will not do
- Never submits an application. You click Submit.
- Never fills a password, SSN, government ID, or card or bank number.
- Never overwrites an answer you already typed.
- Never sends your answers anywhere — only field labels go to the mapper, never the values.
- On job pages the extension sends the posting URL to Second Reader to check for an existing package. Nothing is filled, generated, or logged until you click.
- On a site we do not recognise as an application form, it asks before attaching your resume and cover letter — by name, so you can see which site you are agreeing to.
